What you do is more important than what you say. This is one of the basic tenants of good coaching and good parenting. It’s easy to tell a player, “Don’t complain to the officials!” It’s harder to not complain yourself. It’s easy to tell your kids “Don’t text and drive!” It’s harder not to text yourself.
