What you do is more important than what you say.  This is one of the basic tenants of good coaching and good parenting.  It’s easy to tell a player, “Don’t complain to the officials!” It’s harder to not complain yourself.  It’s easy to tell your kids “Don’t text and drive!” It’s harder not to text yourself.  Here’s Mike Lee from Un/Train on why it’s so important and impactful to model the behavior you’d like to see in your players or your kids.
