Basketball on the Edge – Making Fun a Priority with Harvard Coach Tommy Amaker

Playing basketball should be fun. If it’s not, why would any kid want to play? In this video, Harvard Men’s Basketball Coach Tommy Amaker talks about the importance of having fun playing the game. Even at the Division 1 Level Amaker stresses the saying, “We work too hard at this not to have fun at it.” Notice the connection between hard work and fun. Players and teams can have fun and still be working hard. If coaches help make sure the game is fun be creating stimulating, challenging practices more kids will stay in the game and keep playing. Make fun a priority!
