So many parents whose kids we work with “get it” and understand the mission of Head Start Basketball.
The kids we coach work hard at the game and understand what it will take for them to be successful.
I have a great group of coaches that work with me and are passionate about teaching the game to young players.
We have an opportunity to impact kids both on and off the court and make a real difference in their lives both now and in the future.
Coaches and parents are continuing to learn that screaming at officials, yelling at players, and behaving poorly sets a bad example for their players and kids.
We can use the game to teach life lessons that will enable kids to deal with struggles in other areas of their life.
The game has given me more than I could have ever hoped for.
I have met so many great coaches, players, parents, and officials that make my life more meaningful.
My basketball journey never stops. Thanks to everyone who has been a part of it!
You can practice and get better by yourself.
There’s no better sound than a swish.
You love being a part of a team.
You can play on your driveway.
You can play in the gym.
You can play in your basement.
There’s nothing better than making a last second shot.
Teamwork is required.
You can dribble your ball wherever you go.
Passing and setting up your teammates is fun.
A give and go is a beautiful thing.
There is no louder silence than the opposing crowd when you make a big shot.
You can play year round.
You can play with one friend or with 10.
It teaches myou how to communicate.
You learn how to be humble when you win, and gracious when you lose.
You get to check it up top.
Stopping your opponent is a source of pride.
Anyone can hustle and help their team.
You love to play.
Basketball is your game. For life.
