Basketball on the Edge – Recruiting Players Who Are Energy Raisers

This is a great video of Celtics Coach Brad Stevens talking with high school student-athletes about why he wants players who are Energy Raisers to be on his team. Stevens discusses the the fact that “intangibles” and being a great leader/teammate can make up for a lack of great basketball skills. Being an Energy Raiser is something any young player can strive to become. Coaches at all levels of basketball value Energy Raisers for what they bring to a team. Energy Raisers are the type of leaders who put the needs of others first leading to success for both themselves and their team.
